Meet Our Team

Kevin is an ASE-certified automotive technician with over a decade of experience in the industry and education. He spent 4 years specializing in Japanese imports at a Toyota dealership before teaching automotive technology for 10 years at MSU-Northern. Originally from Bozeman, MT, Kevin is a proud husband and father of two daughters. Outside the garage, he’s passionate about skateboarding and snowboarding, and has given back to the community as a board member of the Help Committee at the Boys and Girls Club for three years. He also volunteers his time at Bear Paw Ski Hill, helping support local recreation and youth activities.

Bethany is a multi-talented creative with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and a passion for storytelling through design. Originally from Havre, MT, she taught ceramics at MSU-Northern and ran her own successful salon for six years. Immersed in the arts, Bethany also brings her eye for beauty to interior design—transforming kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms into thoughtful spaces. A self-taught marketer, she blends creativity with strategy to build cohesive, compelling brands. Bethany lives with her husband and two daughters and is an active part of the local arts scene, frequently showcasing her ceramics in art and craft shows.

Originally from Roebling, New Jersey, Logan Carter moved to Greatfalls, Montana at the age of 12. A graduate of Greatfalls High, Logan was the founder and president of the school's LGBTQ Club, reflecting his commitment to community and inclusivity.

His passion for automotive repair began in high school after totaling his first car. Given an old vehicle in need of serious work—including a full transmission replacement—Logan teamed up with an Air Force Mechanic to bring it back to life. That hands-on experience sparked a lifelong love for working on cars.

Logan went on to earn associate degrees in both Automotive and Diesel Technology from MSU-Northern and now brings over four years of professional experience in both fields. He has a deep passion for classic cars, loves everything about driving, and has an appreciation for music, horseback riding, and the great outdoors. When he's not under the hood, you’ll likely find him, his wife, and dog camping or exploring Montana’s backroads.

​Originally from Lima, Peru, Rod Saldana Mattos moved to the United States at 18, fulfilling a lifelong dream to live and be educated in the U.S. He first settled in Boulder, Colorado, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film. Later, his passion for automotive technology led him to MSU-Northern in Havre, Montana, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology.

Now a permanent U.S. resident as of September 2024, Rod brings over six years of hands-on experience in the automotive field. His strong work ethic, technical expertise, and attention to detail make him a valued member of the Badland Motors team.

Outside of the shop, Rod enjoys playing guitar and keyboard, and frequently travels with his wife to see major bands like and KISS and Mötley Crüe. He stays active playing basketball and contributes to the community as a member of Havre’s Pacific Junction Railroad Club, helping to expand the local visitor center.
